Switch to battery and plant a tree

As part of EGO’s commitment to Challenge 2025, they have partnered with the Eden Reforestation Projects and pledge to plant a tree for every EGO tool sold in Europe and in addition, each tool that is registered for extended warranty.

Who is EGO?

With a focus on innovation, EGO Power+ design and manufacture a comprehensive range of battery powered outdoor power equipment, from lawn mowers to hand-held tools like line trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and leaf blowers. Their unique patented 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries have the industry’s highest capacity in a hand-held battery, providing the power to outperform petrol.

Why are they planting trees?

EGO is committed to not only driving innovation which continues to minimise the impact of cordless outdoor power tools on the environment but also to support organisations such as Eden Reforestation Projects to not only help improve the environment, but participate in its repair.

“Our desire to create a greener future isn’t limited to the products we develop; it pervades the ways we operate and the places we work, as well as the relationships we have with our customers and dealer partners.”

Who are Eden Reforestation Projects?

Eden Reforestation Projects work with local communities to restore forests on a massive scale, thereby creating jobs, protecting ecosystems and helping mitigate climate change.

How are they helping?

The Eden Reforestation Projects not only plants trees, but also creates livelihoods for thousands of people living in extreme poverty by empowering them to restore and protect forests. Everything the Eden Forest Projects does is to help reverse climate change, global deforestation, loss of habitats for endangered species, and extreme poverty.

Eden operates in nine project nations, plant nearly a million trees per day, and maintain planting levels even when faced with civic unrest, extreme weather, wild animals, or other disruptions. As they restore the forest canopy, leaf litter, water, and wildlife return, and nature begins to heal. Meanwhile, communities that are facing extreme poverty are given new opportunities at economic self-sufficiency, improved health, and education.

What can I do?

If each of us made the small change to battery-powered outdoor tools, it would have a huge positive impact on our environment. But don’t take our word for it, have a look at the evidence Challenge 2025 campaign has provided.
