EGO Power Plus goes virtual with Lawn Mowing Simulator

The rising popularity of simulation games has brought with it a stream of business-related simulation games. Players can become farmers, bus drivers, YouTubers and even theme park managers if they wish, and now thanks to EGO’s partnership with Lawn Mowing Simulator, it is possible to run your very own battery-powered gardening business.

EGO Power Plus has partnered with game developers Skyhook Games to become the first battery-powered specialist featured in the latest genre of simulation games, Lawn Mowing Simulator.

Read on to find out more about the partnership.

What is Lawn Mowing Simulator?

Rated PEGI 3, Lawn Mowing Simulator allows players to ride authentic, real-world licensed lawn mowers from well-known manufacturers and enables users to build their very own lawn care business from the ground up.

Set in the British countryside, players begin with a handful of tools and small contract jobs, gradually working their way up to unlocking the huge range of real-world licensed mowers as well as much larger projects such as beautiful gardens and vast castle grounds.

Each mower comes with its own challenges and upgrades to unlock and are all recreated from real-life outdoor equipment brands. Several attachments are also available from stripe rollers, mulching kits, grass collectors, recyclers, flail decks and more.

Mowing skills can also be improved in Free Roam Mode and tested out on a variety of lawn mowing machines in Challenge mode which offers up three challenge types (time limit, fuel limit or striping), across three levels of difficulty.

ECO Update

EGO will be joining Lawn Mowing Simulator as part of its ECO Update, with its ZT4201E-L Z6 zero-turn ride-on mower taking centre stage as the first battery-compatible zero-turn mower available for players to add to their collection. It is also the first mower in the game which allows players to use different driving speeds to complete their contracts with ease.

Also joining the collection is the EGO ST1400-ST 35cm Line Trimmer, so players can tidy edges along paths and flower beds once they are finished using the Z6.

The partnership enables Skyhook games to introduce sustainability-led contracts to the game, meaning players can unlock eco-contracts where they can only use battery-powered equipment and must work in environments where fumes and excessive noise need to be kept down to a minimum.

Lawn Mowing Simulator and Challenge 2025

Challenge 2025 aims to educate outdoor equipment users to understand the harmful effects of prolonged use of petrol tools both on their health and the environment. Its mission is that by 2025, battery power will become the principal power source for outdoor power equipment, leading to a huge reduction in carbon emissions, noise, and health risks.

As a Challenge 2025 partner, EGO also advocates for education on the benefits of battery power compared to petrol, both for the environment and for the health of outdoor equipment users.

It was important that this be represented in the game which is why players can expect eco-friendly contracts, quiet aspects, and customers who only want eco-friendly tools used in their gardens. Elements that not only represent Challenge 2025, but also the growing number of people who are becoming more and more conscious of their environmental impact.

Lawn Mowing Simulator is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5.

By revolutionising battery technology EGO has provided the solution to replacing the harmful petrol tools we have become used to whilst helping to lead the way in the reduction of carbon emissions. Join the challenge by downloading The Report.
